Knitting Update

First to start with the things I've just started. My dragon is underway I have his head and body done. He is a pudgy little guy, the pattern is off of Stone the Gargoyle by Devon Monk. I think I'm going to try to make bigger wings or wings from a different pattern to make it more dragon-y. The final product I'm giving to Jeremey since he was jealous of my robot. He also has a dragon tattoo on his back, so I'm hoping to match it a little bit, his looks much manlier then my little guy. The pattern tells you to stitch inside the nose/muzzle area to shape so I have to figure that out and add a bit more fluff to him, then on to the extras!

Now to projects I'm almost done with.

I have only the ribbing on the top of the second sock to do and then I'm done with my Vellamos. So close and yet I really hate doing ribbing specially on size 0's but only another 2" and I'm done! I think I'm just going to wait till I finished them to take pictures.

My Ireland scarf is about 75% done. I'm on the second skein of Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine and I'm just bored with the 6x6 pattern repeat. It's long enough to wrap around my shoulders but I'm not quite satisfied. But since I can't work on the dragon in front of Jeremey this might be the project I work on while he is around.

I have to get a good picture of my plarn bag because it's coming out really cool. I have the bottom and a few inches up done. I'm knitting as I acquire bags. I've probably used about 40 right now and I'm not even half done! But I love that you can just add plarn to the end so there is no difference between making all the yarn right now and making it as I go. Probably saves on my hands a bit too because it's really tough to knit with, specially when I space out and don't knit super loose.

And now for some wonderfully finished projects, including my robot!

  1. Yay for project pictures! I've heard about all of your WIP's but it's nice to see how they are coming along. I may have to start a gargoyle now that I'm seeing how cute yours is, and it doesn't even have wings or a face yet :P
