Changes

For the past two years (since Sept. 8th 2010 to be exact) I have been heading to the Sandbar Grill after work on Wednesdays. I drive about a half hour there and about forty minutes home every week to meet with an amazing group of women (and some men). We knit, crochet, stitch and bitch our way through projects, problems and some really terrible jokes. Can you get anything better then good friends and knitting?

Well you can also get good food. We were lucky that the Sandbar allowed us to use their function room for free but it wasn't really our type of place. So when our wonderful waitress came back the other week and told us that we could only sit in the restaurant from now on, we weren't exactly heartbroken.

But our luck continues, we have moved down the road (across town closer to the highway and a shorter drive for me, Yay!) to Rudy Tuesday. The cherry on top of this move: I can get buffalo chicken sliders, fries and the salad bar for under $10!!! I know, it's exciting.

The SnB's aren't the only ones moving. I received an email from my favorite yarn store this morning saying that they are going to be moving to a bigger and better location. Lots of good changes this week.

All this moving has got me thinking. Jeremey and I have been getting asked about marriage lately, and while neither of us is really ready to get engaged we have started talking about our living situation. Our apartment complex is ok but neither of us are really happy about it. I'd like to look for someplace nicer and cheaper (isn't that what everyone wants?) that we would be happy in while saving for down payment on something more permanent. If all my favorite places are moving south and we don't really take advantage of going to Boston, maybe looking south of here would be a good plan. It would be cheaper and closer to the places I go to weekly. I think I'm officially a knitter when I start thinking of moving closer to my LYS.

Hopefully my next post will include a picture of me, my half done monkey sock and the Yarn Harlot, because I am going to see her tonight. The lecture is called "This is Your Brain on Knitting." I'm pretty fricking excited to be going. And if you don't know why the SIP + celebrity photo isn't cool check out the Yarn Harlot's blog
