After getting up early and searching my messy room for the gym code, I started the Couch to 5K program. So far Day 1 of Week 1 is done out of (3 days x 9 weeks) 27 days. I was surprised at how once I finally realized that "future me" is just as lazy as "today me" and if I'm not doing it today then I probably won't do it tomorrow it was much easier to get up this morning. I also found a podcast that goes along with the C25K program that is music with talking cues for when the pace changes. I didn't have to try and remember what came next or how many intervals I was on just listened to the podcast and ran when it said to. I really hope this is something I can keep up for a whole 9 weeks. Sometimes I think I quit too easily so continuing something for 9 weeks would be a really good personal achievement as well as a great way to make exercising part of my routine. Hopefully this will help with all the yummy foods I have been eating lately.
This weekend I went up to Standish, ME to visit with Jer's "fake family." The two people is his closest to and consider his family even though they are actually related to his ex-girlfriend. They are a wonderful couple and I love going up to visit them. It's always relaxing and I get a good amount of knitting down when their two calicoes are trying to take over my lap and kill me with allergens. We went out for a great dinner Saturday night but mostly hung out at their house. To prepare ourselves for the Rapture we played Zombie Apocalypse, a board game. Lucky for us the world did not end because we couldn't even stay alive in the game :)
