While at Rhinebeck I cast on my last pair. I choose another free pattern Maeva from the Winter 2011 Knitty. I loved knitting these socks, just the right amount of interest with a great twisted cable pattern and seamless gusset increases. The Sanguine Griffon Skinny Bugga really brought out the twists and the color is just fabulous. I finished them this past weekend and wore them to work today.
I think I'm going to try for 13 socks in 2013, not sure if that is going to be pairs or individual socks but we'll see. I at least want to pair up my yarn with patterns for my own personal sock club. Starting this off is another free pattern from Knitty: Monkey. I'm knitting these in ShiBui sock, colorway Tweed. It's such a cool colorway with cool browns, light blue with a hint of green, a gray brown, and hints of dark green. I think it will be a perfect mix of subtle pattern and subtle colors. The simple pattern repeats will be interesting but still easy for travel. Which is especially good because they are in my new In the Loop sock bag that I got from a friend! I am super lucky.
