Hello Texas

I made it to Texas and hopefully my bag will follow along after me soon.  If it doesn't I will be heading down to Target tonight to grab some underwear and socks, and check out the clearance rack for a few shirts.  My flight was cancelled on Monday and then Tuesday my first flight was delayed 1.5 hours, killing my layover and meaning that I had to run from one gate to the other. Luckily I made it and didn't have to spend the night in -10 degrees Minnesota.  But it didn't leave enough time for my bag to go from one plane to the other.

The delay gave me plenty of time on Monday though so I didn't have to rush from my pre-op to the airport.  It also allowed me to bump into a fellow knitter on the commuter rail Tuesday morning; which was a really nice surprise.  Once I was finally off I was able to get some progress on my sock going.  By the time I flew into Houston I had the heel done and about an inch on the leg.  The pattern is Twisted Tweed and has a slipped stitch motif. Right now it's my only project (*gasp*), so I might have to make a run to Park Avenue Yarns if my bag doesn't come in soon.

I also tracked down a yoga studio close to work that has an intro offer of 3 classes for $20.  One of the classes is Thursday night and is called "Stretch and Unwind."  It sounds perfect and exactly what I need. They also have a Monday night and Saturday morning basics class that fits my schedule.   I don't think it's hot yoga but that's ok because it's about 40 degrees warmer here then at home anyways :P
